Special Symposium - Hybrid Optical-Wireless (ONS)
Scope
Hybrid optical-wireless networks are growing in prevalence in order to satisfy growing demands for broadband access. The Photonics Society Annual Meeting will feature a special symposium devoted to this evolving field. The symposium will feature several invited talks from leading researchers and industry and cover topics ranging from enabling technologies as well as systems and network architectures. The invited talks include the following:
"60 GHz systems over fiber"
Anthony Ng'oma, Corning Inc.,USA
"Integrated Optical-Wireless Broadband Access Networks"
Leonid G. Kazovsky, Stanford University, USA
"Radio over passive optical network (RPON) and its application in the access network in building"
Deming Liu, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China
"Enabling techniques for broadband and millimetre-wave hybrid optical wireless components and systems"
Ke Wu, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada
"Passive optical networks for the mobile backhaul"
Ning Cheng, Huawei,USA
